What we hold

To do what WisdomWeave does, we hold your stories (audio + the transcripts we generate from them), your photos (if you attach any), and your account details (name and email). If you switch weekly reminders on, we also hold a push-subscription endpoint for the device you opted in on.

Why we hold it

To play your stories back when you ask. To compose them into a downloadable PDF. To share them with the family members you invite. If you switch weekly reminders on, we also hold a push-subscription endpoint for this device so we can send the same question you would see on the home screen. We use it for that and nothing else. You can turn reminders off in Profile; we delete the endpoint. We do not use a third-party “engagement” vendor.

Who we share it with

The only people who hear your stories are: you, and the family members you invite. Nobody else. Not WisdomWeave staff (we don’t listen in unless you write to us about a specific recording and explicitly ask for help). Not advertisers (we don’t have any). Not researchers (we don’t do studies on your data, no matter how kindly framed the offer).

How long we keep it

For as long as the account exists. If you ask us to close it, we delete the audio, transcripts and photos we hold. The PDF you already downloaded is yours and we never take it back.

Your rights, under UK GDPR

• You can download a typeset PDF of every story from your profile at any time. For a copy of the underlying audio, write to us.
• You can correct a transcript that misheard you.
• You can ask us to delete your account, and we will do it within 30 days. There is no self-serve delete button yet.
• You can ask us, in writing, what we hold about you. We’ll tell you within 28 days.

Cookies & tracking

Three cookies, total. One to keep you signed in. One to remember whether you’ve dismissed the wellbeing prompt. One that we use to count visits to the marketing site (anonymised, no Google, no Meta pixels, no Facebook).

The voice model

If you opt in to the voice clone, the model is built from your recordings only (stories you marked Keep private are left out) and lives inside your account. You can hear a short sample in the app. It is never used to make claims, hold conversations, or impersonate you anywhere outside your own library. It is not a mailed audiobook. The clone is deleted when you ask us to close the account.
